sprint 1 devlog
we spent this week doing a deep dive around the climate crisis and literature / philosophy surrounding ecology. we’ve ended up being very inspired by Timothy Morton, but they also kinda broke our brains for a while. i’ve always had an annoyance around the guilt and shame driven moralizations around global warming, and i felt very heartened by what we read. i also feel like it’s kind of a hopeless effort to really address the problem, but i am personally interested in intentionally integrating an intentional relationship with ecology. i’m also a bit in awe of how much these patriarchs and capitalists are about to get what’s coming to them. overall, i’m leaving this week inspired, and we were able to develop a plan largely through participatory design. i’m also grateful to work with so many members of my own collaborative community again outside of our various programs, which i really wouldn’t be doing without this as a prompt. it feels like an opportunity for community building that i’ve put off for far too long, and i’m glad to have this kick in the butt. 💜
